The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Tourism, will introduce a joint empowerment programme (a collaboration between public and private bodies). This empowerment is to uplift, inspire, project, and assist others in the creative sector of the state.
The empowerment programme is called “Creative Lagos,” with the sole goal of getting the creative and entertainment industries into the limelight, as well as being completely known in Africa and the world as a whole.
While it is an empowerment of the state, all citizens of the state are free to apply and benefit from a top-notch programme, regardless of their state of origin.
The purpose of the Scheme is the empowerment programme launched by the State Creative Industry Initiative (LACI) and a private body known as the Del-York Academy, which is supposed to receive and train one thousand (1,000) recipients residing in the state of Lagos. Among the fifty-seven (57) Local Government Areas of the State, these fortunate individuals will be selected.
