Effurun, Warri grounded as Obi’s supporters rally. 

On Saturday, a crowd of supporters of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi grounded the twin cities of Effurun and Warri in Delta State.

The supporters set off around 8 a.m. from the popular Effurun roundabout in Uvwie LGA, travelled to Jakpa Junction, and then to Warri City Stadium in Warri South LGA, where party leaders addressed them.

They gathered under the banner of the Delta State Alliance for Peter Obi Movement (DAPOM), insisting that with good leadership, “a new Nigeria is possible.”

As they marched in motorcades and sang solidarity songs around the city, supporters wore green and white, including the national flag and placards.

Among the inscriptions are: “We need Nigeria refining her own crude oil and producing her own products”; “We say no to insecurity, corruption, and the ASUU strike”; “Employing graduates rather than turning them into Keke/Okada riders”; “Nigeria must celebrate education as a key to economic development”; and “A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for a better Nigeria.”
