How Maid strangled Governor Lucky Igbinedion ‘s mother to death, vanished with her money and jewels has been revealed
Following the death of Maria Oredola Igbinedion, mother of two-time former governor of Edo State, Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, the Igbinedion family has been in mourning.

Ejes Gist News reported that Maria, from Usen in Edo State’s Egor Local Government Area, died on Thursday, December 2 at the age of 85, at her home in Ugbo, Benin-City, the Edo State capital.

Sadly, the Octogenarian did not die of old age, nor was she suffering from any illness. She died as a result of a heinous act committed by one of her maids who was hired to live with her and tend to her needs.

It was deduced that the maid strangled her in her home, ransacked it for valuables and money, and then vanished.
Maria had been confined to a wheel chair since she was 80 years old, unable to move and barely surviving.
She made it through the dark days of the Covid19 pandemic only to be murdered by a hired hand who was entrusted with her care.
The killer thief, who is said to be from Cross River State, is being tracked down and apprehended.
Security forces have been mobilized to apprehend her, and the late woman’s children have vowed to go to any length to find her, even if it means arresting her family members in her village.

Maria’s first husband was Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom. Former governor Lucky Igbinedion, Bright Igbinedion, Charles Igbinedion, and Mabel Amadi nee Igbinedion, as well as numerous grandchildren, survive her.
