Gunmen Attack AIG, Audu Madaki kill Orderly
Audu Madaki, the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 12 with headquarters in Bauchi, was injured and one of his police guards was killed in an attack by suspected terrorists on his vehicle.
It was learned that the AIG was traveling from Bauchi to Abuja when he was ambushed and attacked by a group of suspected terrorists.

Reports are still sketchy as of the time of this report’s publication.
According to reports, the incident occurred between Barde and Jagindi in Kaduna State around 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to a source at the Zone 12 headquarters, AIG Audu Madaki was shot and injured during the incident, while his Orderly was killed.
The AIG is reportedly seeking treated at an unidentified facility, while the Zone’s security has been increased.

According to a second source, armed Police men were deployed to the region to comb the jungle in search of terrorists.
Thomas Goni, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, would not answer his phone despite several attempts to reach him.
