Gunmen Kidnap UNIPORT Lecturer
A lecturer from the Linguistics and Communications Department of the University of Port Harcourt, Dr Jones Ajuwu, has been abducted by gunmen accused of being kidnappers.
The lecturer was abducted at gunpoint in Bori on his way back from an event in the Andoni Local Government Area on Sunday evening, February 21.

Some RSTV workers, who were with Ajuwu, were also abducted by the gunmen, according to sources, but later dropped off after being dispossessed of their phones and other valuables.

After regaining freedom, the newsmen reported the incident to the Bori Police Station.
The Rivers State Police Command spokesman, SP Omoni, confirmed the incident but said he had not received information yet.
