The chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) ward of Gboko South, Tersoo Ahu, was killed in Gboko on Sunday by gunmen.

When gunmen stormed the venue with clubs, cutlass as well as iron and manhandled him, Ahu and other APC ward excos were said to be involved in the training of party officials for membership registration and revalidation exercise.

During the 2023 general election, the brutal killing of the APC ward chairman in Gboko, the ancestral home of the Tiv people, may not be unrelated to the alleged factions within the party.
