Bandits killed seven members of the same family during an attack on Sabon Birnin Birnin village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Many residents of the village have fled their homes for fear of being attacked or killed by the marauding bandits, according to Bello Musa, a community leader.
He urged the Federal Government to send more troops to Igabi and other troubled areas of Kaduna State to protect residents from further attacks.
Bandits also attacked 13 other villages in Kerawa ward, Igabi local government area, killing 17 people.
The attacks were carried out simultaneously in the villages, according to a community resident.

Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the incident and stated that security agencies are working diligently to contain the attacks and obtain an update on the number of casualties.
