Assistant Superintendent Of Police has been Abducted In Kwara. 

Abdulmumini Yusuf, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), has been abducted in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The victim, also referred to as “Emirate No. 1,” is a member of the Ilorin area command.


Sources claim that Yusuf was kidnapped as he was about to go home after work in the Ogidi neighborhood of the state capital.

According to information obtained by Ejes Gist, Paul Odama, the commissioner of police, visited the neighborhood after the event.

When our reporter visited, there were numerous police officers on heavy patrol throughout the neighborhood.

Jamiu Abdulganiy, a resident, claimed that the change has caused tension in the neighborhood.

Shola Muse, the Kwara State secretary of the community policing advisory committee, commented on the incident and said it highlights the state’s increasing insecurity and that things are only getting worse.

In a telephone conversation with newsmen on Wednesday, the Kwara CP confirmed the development and added, “Yes, it’s true, but we are still on it.
