A few hours after releasing his unwell wife from the hospital, he was allegedly assassinated.

According to reports, three masked gunmen wearing military uniforms entered Imiringi Road at Block Industry Street and shot their victim at close range in the head and other areas of his body.

Additionally, it was learned that Ogbolosingha’s murder might not be unrelated to the recent deaths of two of his community’s notable leaders in Kalaba, Okordia/Zarama, which was the scene of a major communal issue.

Chief Francis Kolubo, the community’s paramount ruler, and Chief Samuel Oburo, the chairman of the community development committee (CDC), were brutally murdered last month for allegedly refusing to give in to some residents who wanted to build an illegal refinery in order to engage in illicit oil bunkering activities.

According to a security source, the State Government is considering a suggestion calling for an immediate resolution of the crisis engulfing the Kalaba community in order to stop further violent deaths.

Confidential security source: “Some names were mentioned during the Kalaba crisis to stop these atrocities, the state government has been asked to step in.

“We are hopeful that the government would step up and put an end to the community’s senseless killings. Enough is enough!”
