Ejes Gist can Authoritatively report that Two more Greenfield University students who were abducted last Tuesday have been discovered dead. On Friday, three of the victims were discovered dead.
The new murder of the two students was reported by Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Homeland Affairs.
“On a sad note, security agencies have just informed the Kaduna State Government of the recovery of two more dead bodies of Greenfield University students, who were killed by armed bandits today, Monday, April 26th, 2021.
“The bodies have been transported to a mortuary, and the university has been informed of the situation.
“This evil committed against innocent students abducted while pursuing their education for a glorious future saddens the Government of Kaduna State under the leadership of Nasir El-Rufai.
“The government expresses its heartfelt condolences to their families and the university administration, and prays for their souls to rest in peace.”
The government stated that it would keep citizens informed of any new developments.
Mr Aruwan had said on Friday that three of the students’ bodies had been discovered in Kwanan Bature village, which is near to the university. Last Tuesday, over a dozen workers and students were abducted, with the bandits demanding N800 million in ransom.
The state of Kaduna has a policy of refusing to pay ransom to kidnappers. Nasir El-Rufai, the governor, claims it encourages further kidnappings.
