The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, yesterday said the party would defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in this year general election.

This was just as he apologised and appealed to aggrieved leaders, elders and stakeholders of Uvwie Local Government chapter of the party on the result of the outcome of the party’s primary election to put their behind unite and work towards the victory of the party.

Ogboru, who was speaking at the Chief Itsekor-led Uvwie reconciliation committee meeting in Effurun, said the liberation team of the APC led by President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the party and other leaders of the party would soon storm the state to join him in liberating Delta people from the clutches the PDP.

While asking Uvwie APC aggrieved members to sheath their swords, he said those who were with him right from time knew how their primaries were organised either as a consensus or through popular majority vote.

He added that the leadership problem affecting the state chapter of the party was over, explaining that a lot of things might have happened at that time, which made some people resorted to self-help and so on, but that chapter in our party is over,” he said
