Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor, Delta 2023 Governorship Aspirant and the immediate past Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Delta State, has dismissed social media reports that he was having an affair and impregnate the sister of his ex-wife, Hon. Mrakpor Joan Onyeamachi Joan.
Mrakpor, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), said in a statement released Monday by his media aide, Akpovoke Otiti, that “publications on Facebook and other social media platforms about a purported pregnancy/child delivery for him by a member of the Ugbah Family of Ubulu Uku alleged to be a sister/cousin/maid to Hon. Joan Onyeamachi Mrakpor (nee Ugbah)” are false and without foundation.
Mrakpor called the claim “totally false and satanic agenda to destroy his hard-earned reputation,” adding that “no one is pregnant for him or has a child for him as falsely alleged by a desperate group of disgruntled politicians and enemies.”
In a statement, the former Commissioner in Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration broke his silence on his marriage to Honourable Joan Onyeamachi Mrakpor, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and House of House Representatives, saying their marriage “broke down finally since July 2020 due to irreconcilable behavioural pattern.”
“The statement concludes, “Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor SAN has instructed his solicitor to initiate legal proceedings against any further publications about such evil allegation and to formally dissolve the said failed marriage.”
