Nasarawa State Governor has outlined the reasons why he thinks people shouldn’t object to the that the All Progressives Congress will be running on in the 2023 presidential election.

In an interview with Newsmen, Sule commented on Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of as his running mate.

He said this is not the first time Nigeria will have such a situation.

The governor of Nasarawa state also asserted that the majority of governors in the nation were elected on Christian-Christian platforms, but no one seemed to take issue with it.

He stated:

“This is not the first time that our president and vice president have shared the same religion. All that is required is for people to look at Nigeria’s past.

Additionally, this is not the first election in which a candidate from the south west would select a candidate from the north east who are both members of the same faith. They actually prevailed in their elections.

“If you look at how many governors and deputy governors we have, Christians make up nearly 64% of them, with Muslims making up the remaining 24%.

Actually, more than 60% of governors and their appointees identify as Christians.

There are 17 governors overseeing the entire southern region of the nation, yet only one of them is Muslim.

Nobody is taking offense to that. None of the PDP’s southern governors are Muslims, as you can see.
