“Despite the fact that there are numerous decisions coming from the top court that disapprove of such a decision, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) brought the case.

“For the record, the law currently stands that only APC members who took part in the primary election may petition the court to contest Oyetola’s selection as the party’s candidate.

“All of these are part of the distraction tactics used by the opposition PDP and some of their internal allies. However, this has also failed, just like all of their other plans.

“They intend to make us forget about the tribunal case. But until we reclaim our mandate, we will stay focused. We have implicit faith in the Tribunal to uphold justice in the case at hand, just as we have faith in the Appeal Court to overturn the most recent Federal High Court ruling, said Omipidan.
