Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has opened up on leaving PDP
Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State, has stated that he is not in a rush to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria as the 2023 election approaches (PDP).
Ikpeazu, a significant ally of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike who has of lately spoken keenly about the resignation of the National Chairman of the Party, Iyorchia Ayu.
Ikpeazu made this statement at the grand conclusion of a week-long event commemorating Abia State’s 31st anniversary, which was recently held in Umuahia.
“I play a significant role in the PDP. We don’t have any immediate plans to abandon PDP, Ikpeazu stated.

“However, as the Igbo leader, I want to call the party’s attention to the three things that Nigeria’s leadership needs.
“The first is security; we must stop the rising trend in insecurity. We must move quickly toward national inclusion, cohesiveness, and socioeconomic progress.
