Full Details Of Atiku’s Meeting With Obasanjo Emerge

, the former Vice President, has stated that he will soon declare his intention to run for President in 2023.

Atiku stated this on Saturday, after a closed-door meeting with former President at his home in Abeokuta, Ogun.

Remember that Atiku was Obasanjo’s vice president from 1999 to 2007, and he contested  for President in 2019 on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform.

Atiku, who spoke briefly with reporters after the meeting, said he was in Abeokuta as part of his routine visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He expressed confidence that he would win the PDP presidential nomination in the general elections of 2023.

“Have I ever been denied a ticket?” He said, “I’m confident that I’ll still get it.”

When asked about his reaction to the call for younger presidential candidates to enter the race, Atiku said, “Let the youths compete now.” It’s a competition, after all. It’s called democracy.”

Atiku later went to the palace of Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland, in Ake, Abeokuta, where he recalled his days as a trained Customs Officer in Ogun.

Despite the fact that Atiku did not reveal his political plans at the palace, the traditional ruler prayed to God to grant him his heart’s desires.
