FRSC officer has been crushed to death in Ondo. Ejes Gist Newspaper reports
Abdulkareem Ojonla Jimoh, a member of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has been killed while on duty on the Sagamu-Ore-Benin highway.

He was allegedly attending to a suspected traffic offender in a Toyota Previa with the licence plate SMK-687GG when a white Toyota Hiace bus with the licence plate NEM-618AA slammed into him.
According to FRSC Commander along the highway, Lasisi Ogundele, the driver lost control of his vehicle due to brake failure and hit Abdulkareem in an attempt to avoid colliding with other vehicles in the checkpoint queue.

According to the statement, the suspected traffic offender who was being attended to, a green Toyota Picnic marked GKB-367XA, and an Ash Opel Zafira marked AAB-293AM were also hit.
Abdulkareem was seriously injured and died while being rushed to the hospital, according to the statement, while the suspected traffic offender died shortly after being rushed to the General Hospital in Ore, Odigbo local government.

Both victims’ remains were deposited at Opeyemi Mortuary in Ore, while the case was reported to Araromi police.
