Former Governor Theodore Orji, now a Senator representing Abia central senatorial district in the National Assembly, appointed the deceased as Commissioner.

The late ex-Commissioner was from the Obuohia Obi-Ibere clan of the Ibere clan in the Ikwuano Local Area of Abia State’s central zone.

The late Mpamma was a grassroots and consummate politician who ran for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives ticket for the Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency seat in Abia state during the 2018 primaries.

The deceased was also a former Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, and a one-time elected Chairman of Ikwuano Local Area, Chairman of the Board of Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State, and Chairman of the Board of Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State.

Meanwhile, Hon Sam Onuigbo, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Abia state’s Ikuwano/Umuahia federal constituency, has expressed sadness over the death of former Chief .

Late Uche Mpamah’s death, according to the federal lawmaker, was a huge loss to the people of the state.

“I received with immense sadness this morning the news of the death of my brother, Hon Chief Uche Francis Mpamah,” Rep Onuigbo wrote in a condolence message on Sunday (Ohamadike).

“There are no words to express the anguish I feel in my heart at the loss of his immediate family, as well as the entire people of Obuohia Obi-Ibere, the Ibere Clan, Ikwuano, and Abia State.

“This loss has devastated me and my family, but we must submit to God’s superior will.”

The Abia lawmaker expressed his condolences to Mpamah’s immediate family and the entire people of Obuohia Obi-Ibere and Ikwuano on behalf of his family and the good people of great Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency.

Onuigbo, on the other hand, prayed to God Almighty to give the late Uche Mpamah’s family, friends, and associates the strength to cope with the huge loss.
