What Ronaldo told Man United’s board about appointing Rangnick as permanent manager

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Manchester United’s hierarchy that he ‘won’t tolerate’ Ralf Rangnick’s permanent appointment as manager, according to Daily Star, via Express.

Ronaldo is said to be dissatisfied with Rangnick’s management of Man United so far and has expressed his concerns to the club’s board of directors.

Rangnick was named interim manager of Manchester United until the end of the season after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired last year.

According to the report, the Portugal captain has also scheduled a meeting with his agent Jorge Mendes to discuss his future plans.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, will be unable to make any moves until the summer, with Man United requiring Champions League football in order to keep him at Old Trafford beyond this season.

Before deciding on his future, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will wait to see who Man United appoints as head coach.

Following Man United’s Premier League 1-1 draw against Burnley earlier this week, Ronaldo has failed to score in his last five appearances for the club.

While many forwards would not consider this a goal drought, Ronaldo has not gone five games without scoring in 13 years.
