Job Purpose

  • Review and confirm operational disbursement requests and documentation in regional hub in coordination with challenge administration unit or equal company.
  • Determine whether or not the disbursement request should be authorised, lowered or rejected in accordance with Bank’s insurance policies and procedures.
  • Allocate disbursement commitments to related contract and guarantee well timed completion of the disbursement.
  • Maintain correct and full information regarding regional hub’s challenge accounting actions, coordinate with respective parties for decision of disbursement associated issues.
  • Provide help to negotiations, mission preparation, and disbursement workshops.

Key Accountabilities
Dues and Disbursement Management:

  • Process disbursement requests from challenge administration unit or equal company within the regional hub to confirm and decide the appropriateness of requests and supporting paperwork for the disbursement in accordance with Bank’s insurance policies and procedures
  • Liaise with regional hub administration and executing companies and debtors, within the decision of disbursement associated issues
  • Draft clear and concise correspondence to challenge administration unit or operational employees concerning disbursement associated points
  • Monitor utilization of Special Accounts, guaranteeing that the funds are correctly accounted for and utilized in accordance with Bank procedures
  • Participate in challenge missions to confirm use of challenge funds and resolve disbursement points
  • Participate in technical discussions and new challenge negotiations to make sure that disbursement preparations are compliant with Bank’s disbursement insurance policies
  • Prepare periodic reports on disbursement actions and disbursement projections for the regional hub for administration
  • Maintain dependable and well timed monetary information for challenge accounting and reporting on the performance of the portfolio with particular deal with approval, disbursements, cancellations and recoveries within the regional hub
  • Participate in reconciliation of challenge balances and issuance of challenge statements to Member Countries (i.e. reconciling debtors’ and the financial institution’s information)

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform particular analyses of economic or working knowledge and submit suggestions for consideration of administration

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  • Participate in drafting insurance policies and procedures as per administration directions
  • Provide steerage on interpretation of IDB insurance policies and procedures, and rules relevant to operations financing in regional hub
  • Analyze and determine gaps and counsel enhancements to insurance policies or procedures for more practical operations

Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as and when required by administration

Job Requirements
Academic {qualifications}:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or associated subject is required
  • Aptitude for figures and a spotlight to element
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA or an equal certification is most well-liked

Minimum variety of years and nature of expertise:

  • At least 5 years of direct related expertise in finance and accounting
  • ERP and procurement expertise is most well-liked
