This was part of the Minister’s progress report on the implementation of the Buhari Administration’s Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, chairs the Economic Sustainability Committee at the Presidential Villa.

They also reported that a total of 5.4 million farmers have now been enumerated under the ESP to receive assistance under the plan.

He added that “almost 73,000 N-Power volunteers were trained and 30,000 of them deployed to 774 Local Government Areas for the enumeration involving geospatial tagging.”

The Minister disclosed that 2.9 million farmers have had their BVN enrollment validated for the purposes of financing through the CBN.

According to him, in several states, including Edo, Plateau, Ekiti, Cross River, Ogun, Kaduna, Kwara, and Osun States, the clearing of 3,200 hectares of agricultural land is ongoing, while rural road constructions covering 344 km have reached about 28 percent completion, linking about 500 markets across the country.
