Adamu Adamu, the minister of education, declared that the federal government has just opened a site for education students to sign up for a N75,000 bursary.

This follows the approval of N75,000 each semester for undergraduate Nigerian students enrolled in the faculties of education at public universities all throughout the nation.

Additionally, education students are entitled to N50,000 per semester in certain institutions.

The minister noted that the bursary programme is consistent with President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to reforming the educational system in 2021 while speaking at the World Teachers’ Day event in Abuja.

According to him, undergraduate B.Ed, B.A. Ed, and B.Sc. Ed students in public institutions will receive stipends of N75,000 each semester, while NCE students will receive stipends of N50,000 each semester.

Eligibility for FG Bursary for Education students 

The concerned students applying for the bursary programme must be enrolled full-time in degree programmes in education at public universities or colleges of education in order to be eligible for the bursary award.

Students who are physically challenged who are in their first year or above are also eligible for the bursary.

The scholarship is not available to people who are already receiving other types of financial aid.
