Father arrested for throwing four month old son into river in Niger state

The Men of the Niger state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 20-year-old man, Mustapha Aliyu, for throwing his four months old son into river Uti in Borgu native authorities space of the state.

When arrested, Mustapha who's an indigene of Kebbi state, mentioned he acted in anger as a result of the mom of the newborn refused to care for the newborn and left the kid in his custody. He blamed the satan for his motion.

“I couldn’t take care of the baby alone. I was not happy that the mother left him with me. I do not even know what got into me. It is the devil handwork.” he informed newsmen

The Niger State NSCDC Commandant, George Edem, mentioned that the corpse of the newborn is but to be discovered.
