Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman, made the appeal in a message to INEC staff in Abuja on the State’s election.

He advised them to make certain that no political party or candidate received an unfair advantage over the others.

INEC had collectively implemented several activities and taken every step to ensure a free, fair, credible, and inclusive process since June 2021, when it released the timetable and schedule of activities for the poll, according to Yakubu.

” The will be historic because it will be the first governorship election to be held under the provisions of the new Electoral Act 2022, seven months after the successful conduct of the Anambra State Governorship Election in November 2021.”

“At the stakeholders’ meeting on Tuesday, I assured the political parties, their flagbearers, and the good people of Ekiti State that the voters will decide who will be the next governor of the state.”

“I said so confidently because I strongly believe in all of you, our dedicated staff, to ensure a level playing field on Election Day, which is just 48 hours away,” he said.
