Alexandria, Egypt – An Egyptian policeman opened fire on Israeli tourists in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, resulting in the tragic deaths of at least two Israelis and one Egyptian, according to Egypt’s Interior Ministry.
The incident occurred at the historic Pompey’s Pillar site in Alexandria, a popular tourist destination. An unidentified security official, as reported by Extra News television channel, stated that another individual was injured during the attack. The suspected assailant has been detained.
Security forces swiftly cordoned off the site of the attack, and disturbing footage posted on social media depicted the aftermath. Two lifeless figures lay on the ground, believed to be tourists, while another injured person received assistance from a group of individuals. Amidst the chaos, one woman’s desperate cries for an ambulance were heard.
