A mysterious fire has destroyed Vita exhibits at the EFCC exhibit storage facility.
An inferno broke out at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) exhibit dump in Iriebi, Port Harcourt, the state capital of Rivers.
A dump is a secure storage facility used by security agencies.

The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, according to a statement signed by Wilson Uwujaren, the commission’s spokesman.
He went on to say that the fire affected “most of the trucks parked in the facility” before firefighters were able to put it out.

On Tuesday, George Ekpungu, the commission’s secretary, was at the scene of the incident, according to Uwujaren.
The commission also stated that an investigation into the cause of the fire had already begun.
EFCC’s exhibit storage facility gutted by fire
The EFCC also stated that safeguards will be implemented to protect all exhibit dumps across the country.
The development comes years after a fire destroyed a portion of the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters.
Ejes Gist Newspaper recalls that data and equipment were lost in a fire that broke out on November 20, 2018, at the EFCC’s data centre in Wuse 2, Abuja.
