EFCC arrests Nigerian
Emmanuel Chidiebere, a Nigerian on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation’s watch list, was arrested in Orlu, Imo State.
According to a statement, he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Enugu Zonal Command.
The Nigerian is wanted by the FBI for conspiracy, wire fraud, and money laundering, according to EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren.

“EFCC Arrests Suspect on FBI Wanted-List in Enugu,” the statement read.
“Emmanuel Dike Chidiebere, a suspect on the watch list of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, for conspiracy, wire fraud, and money laundering, has been arrested by the EFCC’s Enugu Zonal Command.”
“On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, operatives of the Commission tracked the suspect to Orlu Local Government Area in Imo State, where he was arrested, based on verified intelligence.”
“Chidiebere is accused of defrauding some victims in America, Côte d’Ivoire, and Poland of an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing to the United States.
“Three of his associates are still on the loose.”
