According to FMDQ data, the total value of forex transactions is $298.88 million.

Meanwhile, the federal has released and refunded over N1.95 trillion to departments and agencies (MDAs) as part of the implementation of the 2020 federal budget plan.

According to Ejes Gist correspondent, this information was contained in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission’s (FRC) annual report and audited financial statements for the year 2020.

According to the report, the budgeted N2.7 trillion for capital expenditure in 2020, but actual total capital expenditure for the year was N1.6 trillion, N436.25 billion or 37.48 percent higher than the previous year’s total capital expenditure of N1.6 trillion.


As stated in the report, the government has given particular attention to reforms in key sectors of the economy and the provision of critical infrastructure, including highways and electricity transmission lines as well as housing and rail lines and airports, as well as to the provision of physical and food security.

Specifically, it revealed that N1.96 trillion (excluding capital expenditure for statutory transfer, capital expenditure of the top ten GOEs, and projected loans) was allocated to capital expenditure in the previous year’s budget.
