The figure is included in its website’s most current monthly economic report.

According to the report, banks received N255.75 billion in February even though they had borrowed N333.59 billion in January.

The CBN reported that the February decline was brought on by more liquidity in the banking system.

“Slow activity in the SLF window and the robust patronage at the Standing Deposit Facility reflect greater liquidity in the banking sector,” the CBN report states in part. Activities at the standing facility window provided insight into the ease of liquidity in the banking system over the review period.
