We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Billing Officer

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Maintain revenue tracking for the company by keeping track of money owed by customers, preparing invoices, and maintaining records.

     

  • Creates invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to customers/agents. Calculates and tracks financial statements for the company.

     

  • Before delivering invoices, review them for any errors.

     

  • Processes and monitors credit memos related to bills.
  • Raises Debit Notes based on billing instructions (e.g. Container Movement Register, Haulage Job Cost) received from operations, logistics, shipping, and freight forwarding departments, as well as direct instructions from HOD Finance & Accounts (E.g Debit notes and Invoices)

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have 3 to 5 years of work experience.

Job Title: Depot Accounts Officer

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Maintain revenue tracking for the company by keeping track of money owed by customers, preparing invoices, and maintaining records.
  • Raises receipts for funds collected from customers, vendors, and staff, and ensures that receipt details are distributed electronically every day and in hard copy every week.
  • Receives and signs off debit notes after ensuring their accuracy, and TDOs after ensuring full payment based on the debit note raised.
  • Receives PVs from Lagos and facilitates payment to vendors, staff, customers, and others based on PV instructions. Liaises with depot manager to make requisitions (e.g. consumables).
  • Maintains depot asset register and interacts with tax authorities in Kano/Kaduna and other related agencies. Follows up with customers to ensure prompt revenue collection and deposits funds collected in the bank within 24 hours.
  • Calculates terminal rent due, ensures full payment from customers, and deposits funds into the company’s account.
  • Supports the statutory accounts audit process by assisting the Financial Accountant with analysis and reconciliations.

Account Receivable:

  • Liaises with the bank to track receipts and lodgements from consignees or other clients
  • Maintains and updates accounts receivable customer files and records with copies of invoices and evidence of lodgements.
  • Supervises the performance of the depot accounts assistant.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the Finance/ Treasury/ Accounts function in a similar organization
  • Knowledge of statutory financial reporting and knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and industry legislation.
  • Relevant professional certification e.g. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA) are both beneficial.
