Democracy Day: FG declares Monday As Public Holiday

Public Holiday 2022 in Nigeria is June 12. 

The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 13 as a in honour of Nigeria’s Democracy Day, which falls on June 12.

This was stated in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Shuaib Belgore, in Abuja by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

The Minister congratulated Nigerians and urged them to back the current administration’s efforts to make the country safer, more united, and prosperous.

“As we commemorate another DemocracyDay in our dear country’s history, let us remember our founding fathers’ efforts to ensure that Nigeria remains one united, secure, peaceful, and indivisible entity.” As stated by the Minister.

Nigerians should keep faith in democracy by promoting peace and unity, according to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
