The All Progressives Congress in Delta State has issued a red card to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the PDP to start preparing its handover note as Deltans are fed up of a bereft of ideas.

In a statement signed by Nick Ovuakporie , Head Strategic Communication Team on behalf of the State Chairman Prophet Jones Ode True ,the party accused Okowa of being the worst Governor in Delta State history whose mission is to meek the state dry of its resources through award of fictitious contracts that have no direct impacts on the wellbeing of the average Delta.

The party also described the story that about 5000 of her members defected to PDP as fallacious and mischievously concocted by a drowning and confused Governor meant to mislead the reading public. He echoed,” PDP has been rejected by Deltans” and stressed, APC will evict Okowa from the House come 2019 as the in-roads so far made by the party, has sent shivers down his spine.

In his reaction to a statement credited to Governor Okowa that he can’t be intimidated by the APC, Ovuakporie said ; ” Okowa must be living in a fool’s paradise to have said he can’t be intimidated by the APC when it is obvious, his days in Osadebey house are numbered owing to his abysmal performance as Governor”.

The party assured Deltans that their days of agonies will soon be over as the APC is poised to build a New Delta by initiating people’s oriented developmental programmes when it assumes governance of the State in 2019. The party asked the Governor to bury his face in shame and seek solutions to the too many unresolved challenges such as the constant flooding and non-payment of pension benefits to retirees instead of wasting such resources on political jamborees.
