Defend yourself, Commander Bibi Oduku, tells Christians

Going by the recent happenings in the Country especially the detolerating security situation in the Country
Commander Bibi Oduku, Commander in Chief RIVERINE SECURITY (coast – guard of the federation) has called on Nigerians to rise up and defend themselves in the light of the unwillingness of the Government to play its primary role of securing lives and properties.

Speaking to the press at Abuja FCT, Commander Bibi Oduku said Christians should take the present targeted attacks beyond prayers as no one region or ethnic group or religion has a monopoly of violence, urging believers to devise means to physically defend themselves.

Commander Bibi Oduku called on Mr President to take the issue of security serious and stop paying lip service to the fight against terror.

He extended the call to the Vice President to put his best as second in command to assist the President to put the issue of terrorists groups behind us, reminding them that the All Progressive Congress rode to power with the promise to end the Boko Haram terrorist group in a matter of Months and that the administration is in its second term and it seems the terrorist group is winning the war.

He urged Churches in the Country especially in the North Eastern part to devise internal security measures and train their security personnel on counter terrorist measures.

Commander Bibi Oduku Praised Pastor Enoch Adaboye and the Redeemed Christian Church of God for the peaceful protest, urging other leaders of the Christian Faith to take similar steps to ensure that they compel the powers that be to take action, he concluded by informing every Nigerians to be prayerful and courageous to support Mr President to maintain peace and law abiding in every aspect of life.
