Karo Ekewenu is a well-known philanthropist and UN ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals.

The ambassador stated that he and his supporters had joined the APC to support the party at all levels in the general elections next year.

He stated that he and his team are prepared to ensure the APC’s victory in national and state assembly elections, as well as presidential and governorship elections, which are being eyed by the deputy senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege.

He says, “My decision to dump the crumbling PDP was borne out of the fact that there’s no transparency in PDP which was evident during the primary election to elect the party’s gubernatorial candidate.”

BREAKING ‘court sacks powerful PDP lawmaker

Ejes Gist Newspaper previously reported that Musa Aggah, a PDP member in the House of Representatives, had been fired by the national and state assembly election petition trial tribunal, which was sitting in High Court 4 in Jos.

The court ruled that the umbrella party, the PDP, failed to properly nominate the lawmaker and that he did not receive the most votes in the federal constituency’s bye-election on February 26.

The court then declared Mohammed Gwani, the PRP candidate, as the legitimate winner of the North/Bassa federal constituency bye-election.
