Deborah Samuel laid to rest Amidst tears in her hometown
Deborah Samuel, who was killed for alleged blasphemy in Sokoto on Thursday, has been laid to rest.
She was laid to rest in tears in her hometown, Tunga Magajiya, in the Rijau local government region of Niger State.

The 200 level Economics student was beaten to death and later burnt by her colleagues over alleged blasphemous statements.
She was accused of making a blasphemous statement against prophet Mohammed.
The gruesome death of the young lady has sparked reactions and tumult in the northern part of the region, precisely Sokoto where it all originated from with protesters demanding the release of the suspects, destroying properties, threatening lives.
To the end, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal declared a state of emergency in sokoto.
