COVID-19 Lockdown : Lagos govt withdraws charge against Naira Marley, PDP Chieftain

The Lagos State Government has consented to withdraw charges against the former governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Lagos State, Babatunde Gbadamosi, and his better half Folasade; and popular vocalist , ChannelsTv.

This is as offenders accepted to tender composed apology to Lagos State Government, concern endeavor to abide by instruction on lockdown and social distancing and remain in seclusion for the next 14 days.

The state-federal government agreed to withdraw the charge against the three offenders based upon their remorsefulness, however subsequent upon them satisfying three conditions.

They were, for that reason, not arraigned before the Magistrate Court being in Ogba today, April 8. The conditions are:

1) They need to compose an official apology to the Government of Lagos State, which will strengthen the remorsefulness revealed by them.

(2) They need to provide an endeavor in composing that they will continue to abide by the instructions of Mr. President and Mr. Governor, which is the subject of the case before the court.

(3) Given the risk which the state thinks they’ve put themselves by going to an event surpassing 20 individuals, they should accept go on 14 days seclusion to safeguard other members of the general public from any most likely risk.

The offenders, through their counsel, all accepted the conditions, and the court has adjourned till tomorrow for the district attorney to brief the court on whether all the conditions have been fulfilled, stopping working which they will be accused.
