The Nollywood actress Chacha Eke-husband, Austin Faani, has refuted claims that he physically abused his wife.

In a post on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Chacha announced the dissolution of her nine-year marriage to Austin, saying she did not want to “die or go mysteriously missing.”

She wrote, “I am here again on social media boldly declaring that I am done with my marriage for the second time in two years.

“Austin Faani, the medical professionals, and my parents are of course all aware of my long overdue/unwavering stance on this.

If necessary, my lawyers, the welfare division, and the Nigeria Police Force will release my recorded video clips and statements as testimonials for the public to view on all social media platforms and in the country’s newspapers if I am suddenly cut off from communication.

Many people have been misled by her post into thinking that she quit because of domestic violence she experienced at home.

Austin Faani, however, debunked the rumours on his Instagram page on Tuesday. He claimed that he had never raised his hands to strike out at any woman, not even his wife.

“I don’t like to use violence. Personally, I abhor all forms of violence. In my entire life, including with my wife, I have never raised my hand against a woman.

The actress will not be making this announcement of her marriage’s dissolution for the first time. When she first announced her separation from Austin in October 2020, many people at the time assumed that she was a victim of physical abuse.

The actress, who denied her husband ever hit her or yelled at her, refuted the domestic violence allegation in a video.
