Calvin Bassey has sent Rangers a new emotional farewell message.
Following his move to Eredivisie winners Ajax Amsterdam, Calvin Bassey has sent a heartfelt farewell letter to Rangers supporters.
Calvin Bassey signed a five-year contract on Wednesday and joined Ajax Amsterdam.
After moving from Leicester City to Glasgow in 2020, the 22-year-old discontinued his two-year affiliation with the Gers.
He used social media to honour his former teammates and the supporters.
The adaptable defender posted on Twitter, “First of all, I simply want to thank God for giving me this opportunity to play for a club that is as historic and amazing as Rangers.”
“I want to express my gratitude to the manager and the coaching team.
“For the confidence they placed in me and for assisting in my personal and professional growth.
“I’d want to acknowledge the assistance of my teammates. I came here to play football, but I’ll be leaving with my brothers for the rest of my life.
“Thank you to all of the supporters. You really did amazing. Ibrox was unlike anything I’ve ever encountered.
“Once a Ger, always a Ger; you’ll hold a special place in my heart.
Finally, I send my best wishes to the team for further success. Calvin Bassey
