President Muhammadu Buhari has awarded Tobi Amusan and other Nigerian Athletes’ who participated in the just concluded common wealth games with National Awards and N200 million
On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari made the announcement that medalists from Nigerian teams competing in foreign competitions, including the Commonwealth Games, will each receive a gift of N200 million in recognition of their great performances.
During a reception for the Nigeria 2022 Commonwealth Contingent held in State House, Abuja, the President also awarded a recognition award to the sportswoman Tobi Amusan, who holds the record for the most world records held by a female athlete.
This comes upon the return of Tobi Amusan back to Nigeria after proving again her world records wasn’t by luck.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, in a bid to curb the insecurity ravaging the nation held a meeting with his service chiefs.
He admonished the service chiefs to consolidate their victory against terrorism and insecurity in the nation.
