Ejes Gist Newspaper reports that Bala Mande, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party () in , has been suspended by the party.

Mande was sanctioned for one month as a result of anti-party activities, according to Abba Bello, the state’s party publicity secretary.

The suspended chairman’s actions, according to the PDP, “were in clear violation of the various sections of its constitution.”

In related developments, the PDP has changed its governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and houses of assembly primaries due to disagreements over the final delegate list and reconciliation efforts.
