America Places President Buhari’s Minister On Terrorist Watch List
The accusation that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Alhaji Isa Ali Ibrahim, also known as Sheikh Pantami, is on the watch list of the American Intelligence Service has caused consternation in the country over the weekend.
Ibrahim, who is also the Deputy Secretary General of Nigeria’s Supreme Sharia Council and a former student of Salafist ideology, was educated with other top Islamic jihadists in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Ibrahim was a well-known Islamic preacher before his appointment as a minister, and he held “dangerous views” toward the American government, allegiance to Al-Qaeda.
According to reports, the minister was a close confidant of the late Mohammed Yusuf, the Boko Haram leader who was killed, with whom he allegedly shared jihadist doctrines.
According to Western Intelligence, the minister had links to Abu Quatada al Falasimi and other Al-Qaeda leaders, whom he admired and praised in many YouTube videos.

Ibrahim praised Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, a great leader who joined Al-Qaeda after emigrating to Afghanistan at the end of the September 11, 2001 terror attack on the World Trade Center in New York, in one of his narratives.
“Under Osama’s leadership, he became the unit commander of AlQaeda’s army with the help of the Commander of the loyal Maula Umar (Taliban leader),” he wrote about Abu Musab.
“He sustained a severe leg injury after the September 11 attacks and was flown to Iraq for treatment, where he spent a long time recovering.”
“When the enemies of God invaded Iraq, this great man joined in the battle, leading his group against the US military and its allies in Iraq,” Ibrahim wrote.
Photographs of Sheikh Isa Ali Pantanmi and his jihadist allies are trending, according to Middle Eastern Intelligence, which is backed up by its Western counterparts.
Efforts to get the minister’s reaction to the serious allegations had been fruitless as of press time.
One of his aides, however (names withheld), said that the charges were false.
The aide was enraged that the article would be released, and spoke with the Sunday Independent in a combative tone.
“When you introduced yourself, you didn’t say you wanted to publish the storey. First and foremost, you did not properly address the Honourable Minister’s Office.
“This is a personal attack on someone’s religious beliefs and practises.
“This accusation comes from a futile organisation, not the American government. “I’m a journalist myself,” the aide said.
