Two stabbed to death in Kwara street Fight

Two people were killed in a bloody street brawl in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

On Friday, the alleged street disturbance occurred in the metropolis’ Adifa and Centre Igboro areas.

The victims were stabbed to death by their assailants, who were identified as Lukman and Kudus.

The incident was confirmed by Kwara Police spokesperson Ajayi Okasanmi.

“Victims were rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital by men of the Oja Oba Police Station after responding to the distress call; the victims were confirmed dead by the doctors on duty as soon as they arrived at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.”

He also revealed that the gang boys’ suspected leader, who was also seriously injured, had been apprehended.

“The immediate/remote cause(s) of the fatal attack has yet to be determined,” he added.

“However, Tuesday Assayomo, the Commissioner of Police for the Kwara State Police Command, has ordered a discreet investigation into the matter, deploying strategies that will lead to the arrest of the fleeing attackers.”

“The people of the area in particular, and Kwara state in general, have been assured of their safety and security at all times,” the command said.
