Bandits attacked Nigerian Army troops stationed in Rafin Taba in Kaduna State’s Giwa Local Government Area (LGA) and killed 17 soldiers.
A source stated that 40 wounded soldiers were taken to the 44 Army Reference Hospital facility, including 17 of them (soldiers) confirmed to have been killed by the terrorists.
Members of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service were also killed in the audacious ambush.
Several pieces of equipment were damaged during the onslaught, which lasted several hours. According to the report, the robbers were loaded with heavy equipment, including RPGs, explosives, and special weapons, in addition to striking in large numbers.
This online newspaper gathered that troops have enlisted massive reinforcements and are on the hunt for the terrorists called bandits.
