Tension as fight breaks out at APC primaries in Delta
A fight broke out today at the Sapele/Okpe/Uvwie House of Representatives primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sapele, Delta state, after some people attacked one Kayode, who was suspected of supporting a rival candidate.
Despite the efforts of rival group supporters to save Kayode, the issue almost devolved into a free-for-all fight before peace was restored to the venue, causing tension and fear among delegates.

As of 7:59 p.m., materials were still being awaited, with some delegates fearing that the story of ‘waiting for materials’ was a ruse by a popular aspirant to rig the election.
However, Barr Ben Etanabene’s campaign manager, Ejiro Eric, has threatened to withdraw from the primary, claiming that the prolonged delay is an invitation to violence.
“Our supporter was beaten this afternoon here, and there are guns with some of their supporters as I speak to you.” We have extensively campaigned to all of the delegates, and I am informing you that we are considering withdrawing.
