The Supreme Court of Nigeria has sacked Senator David Umaru because the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Niger-East Senatorial District of Niger State, northern Nigeria.
Th five-man panel of the Supreme Court, led by Justice Ibrahim Muhammad, took the decision on Friday.
The apex court ordered the popularity of Mohammed Sani Musa because the genuine winner of the final election for the Niger-East Senatorial District.
Supreme Court by the judgment, put aside the April 8, 2019 judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which declared Senator David Umaru the legitimate candidate of the APC.
A five-man panel in a unanimous judgment upheld arguments by Musa’s authorized workforce, led by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) that he gained the first of the APC for the election and was the precise candidate for the election.

By this ruling, the apex court has affirms the February 7, 2019 judgment by Justice Folashade Giwa-Ogunbanjo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which declared Musa the validly nominated candidate of the APC for the election
