Soludo takes action against Task Force officer for slapping Odumeje

Governor Charles Soludo stated on Friday that he has directed that the Task Force members who handled Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, aka, Odumeje, be treated in accordance with the laws of public behavior, “which he roundly failed to uphold.”

Soludo, who revealed this in a statement received by the Ejes Gist Newspaper, promised that something like that would never happen again.

“Let me personally thank ndi Anambra  for being patient with us as we take bold strides to create a liveable and prosperous homeland.

The Governor stated that on this path, imperfect steps will be taken, emotions will run wild, and opinions will thicken.

“It is important to stress that we will continue to be unfazed, fix our flaws, work to keep our emotions in check, and gather viewpoints that are in the best interests of our collective well-being.

“Yesterday’s outing stirred feelings, not against the government’s decision, but against the faulty and unprofessional way one of the task force members carried out his legal obligation.

We deeply regret this and promise it won’t happen again.

I have ordered that the task force members who assaulted Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje) be treated according to the standards of public decency, which he flagrantly disregarded.

“We’ll keep working to carry out the mandate you’ve given us.

Nothing less than the best results are promised.

I condemn the attack on behalf of the Anambra State government and good people, and I also appeal for your ongoing assistance in the struggle to rehabilitate Onitsha and, in fact, the entirety of our homeland.
