BREAKING: DSS operatives bar IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, journalists, Igbo leaders from court premises

Biafra News: Nnamdi Kanu squandered the Goodwill of Igbos to save him as repatriation proceedings  commence

On Wednesday, security operatives prevented Maxwell Opara, one of the lawyers representing detained leader of the proscribed separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, from entering the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Media reporters, Igbo traditional elders, as well as spectators and activists, were also prevented from entering the trial.

However, other Kanu attorneys, including Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Aloy Ejimakor, were allowed to enter the courtroom as well.

Justice Binta Nyako had adjourned Kanu’s trial to today.

Kanu is being held in the custody of the Department of State Services since his re-arrest from a foreign country in June 2021 on terrorism-related charges. He has been detained in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS since that time.

At his most recent court appearance, on October 21, he entered a not guilty plea to seven allegations against him.
