In an attack by unknown gunmen on Friday, a helicopter carrying Colombian President Ivan Duque and others was hit by many bullets, he stated in a video message.
According to report, the incident occurred while the president’s helicopter was flying through Colombia’s Catatumbo region on its way to Cucuta, the seat of the country’s Norte de Santander department.

The chopper also carried Defense Minister Diego Molano, Interior Minister Daniel Palacios, and Governor of Norte de Santander Silvano Serrano, in addition to Duque.
According to a presidential spokesman, no one was hurt in the incident.
The president stated that security forces have been given specific instructions to find individuals responsible for the chopper attack.
