The monarch passed away early Tuesday morning.

According to a palace source who confirmed the incident, sais an official announcement will be made soon.

“I received the tragic news of our king’s death, Oba Abdul-Azeez Adeoye Adewuyi, Aribiyan II, Gbadewolu 1, the land, who died early this morning,” he said (Tuesday).

This is a huge setback for Ibarapa and the Yoruba people.

“We’ll miss your wisdom, leadership, love for this land, and unwavering support for all things Ibarapa, sir.”

“Indeed, you were a great king who cared deeply about his people’s love.”

“Yes, it’s true,” said another palace source. Kabieyesi is no longer alive. He passed away this morning. We haven’t buried him yet. We just got out of the hospital a few minutes ago.”

In the Oke Ogun axis of Oyo State, Igangan has gained media attention due to attacks by suspected herdsmen.

Many people were killed, and many homes were destroyed as a result of the situation.

In one of a series of attacks on the community, suspected herdsmen attacked the monarch’s palace.

Two prominent traditional rulers in Oyo State died in less than two weeks as a result of this development.

Oba Jimoh Oyewumi (Ajagungbade 1), the Soun of Ogbomoso, died on December 12.

Oba Oyewumi, a successful trader, reigned for several decades.
