Nigeria police helicopter has crashed
A police helicopter which took off from Abuja has crashed at the Bauchi Airport, the Accident Investigation Bureau said on Thursday.

However, according to the AIB, there was no loss of life.
“On the 26th of January, 2022, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) notified the Accident Investigation Bureau of Nigeria about an accident involving a Bell 429 helicopter with Registration Marks 5N-MDA owned and operated by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF),” according to the statement.

“An accident occurred at Bauchi Airport on January 26, 2022, around 7:30 p.m. (local time).”
“At 16:54 UTC, the NPF helicopter departed Abuja for Bauchi with six people on board, maintaining a height of 5,500 feet.”
“There were a few injuries, but no one was killed.”
“AIB-N, the investigating agency, requires and hereby requests your assistance. We want the public to know that we are open to receiving any video clips, evidence, or information about the accident that any member of the public may have that can help us with our investigation.

“The Bureau appreciates it if the general public and the press respect the privacy of those involved in the accident and do not speculate on the cause of the accident until a formal report is released.
